Nail brace
An ingrown toenail can be very annoying or even become very painful and inflamed. Often, an ingrown nail is caused by shoes that are too small or by cutting the nails incorrectly. This need not always be the case, in some people the nails have a naturally abnormal position. Fortunately, something can usually be done about it through a small, almost invisible, aid. A nail brace is a device to correct the position of the nail. By tensioning and repositioning the nail brace every six to eight weeks, the growth direction of the nail will slowly be corrected. A normal nail is the result.
At our practice in The Hague and Eersel, we have a lot of experience in placing nail braces. The duration of treatment depends on the position of the nail(s), which is different for everyone. You can make an appointment for an ingrown nail or nail brace immediately.
