Yves Shoes and Podiatry AVG ready!

It probably won't have escaped your notice, and you may have already read a few things about it; the AVG legislation. But what does it actually mean and how will your data be processed?

What is the AVG
From 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) will apply throughout the European Union. Every entrepreneur/healthcare provider will have to be more conscious about handling privacy-sensitive information as a result.

Privacy within Yves Podiatry
The AVG ensures that we as business owners/care providers have more obligations when processing your personal data. It emphasises our responsibility to comply with the new law regarding this privacy security. Because we process your data to start a proper treatment plan, we have stored your personal data (think name and address, telephone numbers, e-mail address, BSN number) securely. ‘Our electronic patient file “Intramed” meets all guidelines and security requirements!’

What does this mean for you as a patient?
In principle, relatively little changes within Yves Shoes and Podiatry. Your details are safe in our system and will be treated confidentially. What is good to know, however, is the following:

  1. You have the right to access your data.
  2. You have the right to change your data.
  3. You have the right to have the data deleted.
  4. Your data will be released only after you, the patient, have given your own consent.

If you have any questions regarding the new privacy legislation and how we handle your data. Feel free to drop in! Or contact us by phone.
